After graduating from university (BA Hons 1st Class Bradford, MA Kent), Susan joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, London, as a staff translator (and later translator/reviser), where she worked for over 13 years. The bulk of her freelance career has involved translating for EU and UN bodies. She has also enjoyed training the next generation of translators on the MA Translation and Interpreting course at the University of Bath.
