Lorna Dale has a language degree and a postgraduate diploma in translation and is a former staff translator for the European Parliament, the Ministry of Defence and the Metropolitan Police. She has been freelance since 1995, working mostly for UK Government departments and the European Union and specialising in law, both civil and criminal. She has translated a number of non-fiction books, mainly on art and architecture, and audioguides for museums and art galleries.
